Wings of hair flying back from her face.

Here, pinioned,

pinpointed,

a specimen for a gaze, caged

in ink or paint.

She objects—

subject not object, but

subjected to the process.

Her thoughts, invisible, glide

away on thermals and she vanishes

in clouds.
