Summer Road Trip, Day Two: Party!

Today I learned that there is such a thing as competitive chuck wagoning.  Folks compete based on the authenticity of their wagons and the quality of their food.  I know this because I got to go to my dear mom-in-law’s and niece’s joint birthday plus niece’s graduation party.  Here are some photos of the chuck wagon:

We also had some fascinating discussion about the distinction between country and western music.  I learned about horseshoes, both on horses and as a game.  It was lovely.
