Summer Road Trip, Day 4: Cue Willie Nelson
At this point, I think we
are all glad to be done with major driving for a few days, especially Brent! We headed out from Chino Valley early. Here are two views through the windshield of
the road near Yarnell.
Arizona has some
spectacular rock formations. Also lots
of cactus, but I don’t much like plants that want to make a person suffer.
We stopped in Indian
Wells for lunch with my mom and dad. I
am a very bad daughter and did not get a picture of the two of them together
because we were busy talking. Except we
did talk about the weird spot my dad has on his elbow and I took a picture of
it so he could see it. This is not the
best picture ever of my dad, but hey, it’s an elbow!
My parents are settling
in well to their new place and my baby (dog) brother Peanut is as cute as ever.
T.R. didn’t pack a
swimsuit, so we stopped to get him one.
He did not pick the one with bananas on it and the giraffe one only came
in too-large sizes, so he had to settle for the loud orange floral. I’ll try to get a picture of him in it before
the week is out.
Eventually, we made it to
our home for the next few days.
We celebrated by starting
a load of laundry and getting Mexican food.
T. and I needed to
stretch our legs, so we walked back from the restaurant and I found (surprise!)
a flower I wanted to photograph.
We dipped our feet in the
(not heated) pool here and now we are all going to crash.
