Hawaii, day 7
This cold is kicking my
behind. Which is why I’m posting about
yesterday today. The theme for yesterday
was food. We began the day by heading
into Lahaina to have breakfast at 808 Grindz, a local place with a bunch of
different varieties of loco moco and pancakes with coconut syrup. There was a huge line, so by the time we got
food, I was in no mood to take pictures.
It was tasty.
Once breakfast was over,
I got a picture of these guys snacking in the parking lot. I love the feral chickens of Hawaii.
The aforementioned cold suggested
strongly that I take a nap, so I did. I
did some reading in the afternoon and then we headed for Hali’imaile General
Store for dinner. There was
traffic. The good news is that when
there is traffic here and I’m not driving, I can take pictures of
rainbows.
This is the starter I chose,
duck buns with coleslaw.
(Brent had Caesar salad,
which looks like salad, so I didn’t take its picture.) We both chose the ribs for our main.
And I had pineapple
upside down cake for dessert.
That was enough activity,
so I came back to the hotel and fell pretty much instantly asleep.
